BAEG Gyeong Hun 教授在日本大阪大学医学研究院获得了生物医学博士学位,进行癌症研究。而后加入哈佛医学院Norbert Perrimon教授的实验室,在Howard Hughes医学院作为博士后研究员,并利用果蝇作为体内模型系统,对与肿瘤发生和发展有关的Wnt和Jak Stat等分子进行研究。2006年,他以助理教授的身份加入了纽约医学院的儿科,重点研究Jak-Stat信号在儿童癌症,特别是急性淋巴细胞白血病中的作用。2012年,Baeg教授移居新加坡,在新加坡国立大学解剖学系担任助理教授。研究利用果蝇遗传学研究了JAK STAT信号转导通路和氧化还原信号转导在干细胞行为和癌症调控中的作用,并研究了纳米材料介导的细胞毒性和遗传毒性的分子机制。将遗传、基因组、分子和细胞生物学技术结合起来,实现对这些复杂过程的系统级理解。他曾担任过科学期刊和资助机构的特别评论员,包括生物材料、细胞死亡和分化,以及小型的。他还被任命为众多国际权威期刊和丛书的学术编辑/编辑委员会成员。Baeg教授的教学领域为人体解剖学,授课对象为医学、药学和生命科学专业的学生。
