刘隽燕博士于2013年毕业于香港大学生物专业(本科);2017年获得剑桥大学博士学位,读博期间在遗传学系研究大肠杆菌吲哚信号与应激反应的关系。她在剑桥大学维康桑格研究所接受博士后培训,研究在人肠道菌群中散播抗生素抗药性的可移动遗传因子。刘隽燕博士曾分别就职于伦敦和深圳的两家生物技术初创公司,于2024年11月加入香港中文大学(深圳)医学院。其研究兴趣包括(但不局限于)微生态学的四个主要方向:人类、动物、植物和环境微生态,宿主-微生物菌群互作,细菌应激反应,微生物抗药性,可移动遗传因子,热衷于使用干、湿实验结合的方式进行研究。
