Campus Construction
The School of MEDICINE at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, is an important project in Shenzhen's "14th Five-Year Plan." The School of MEDICINE will be based in Shenzhen, looking towards the national strategy of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the overall deployment of Healthy China, and is committed to becoming an international medical system that integrates advanced medical services, high-level medical talent cultivation, and innovative medical research.
The School of MEDICNE Project (Fairy Lake Campus) is located within the International University Park in Longgang District, adjacent to the School of Music at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen to the east, and to the south of it is the Shenzhen MSU-BIT University. The total land area of the project is approximately 235,000 m2, with a total construction area of about 558,000 m2. The construction of the project includes the construction of new teaching buildings, laboratory teaching buildings, research buildings, libraries, administrative buildings, as well as teacher apartments, student colleges, indoor sports venues, and other 17 buildings, and the renovation of 1 building.
As a large-scale educational building project, it adopts the concepts and principles of "Pavilions and Landscapes, Interconnected" and "Chinese Planning, Lingnan Style" as the overall design concept and principle for the campus, embedding the campus within the beautiful scenery of Fairy Lake. The project officially commenced on May 15, 2023, and is expected to be completed by 2026.
