Shenzhen key laboratory of steroid drug discovery and development aims to comprehensively use structural and functional analysis, large-scale virtual screening and drug design, as well as research methods and methods in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology and pharmacy, to carry out targeted steroid drug screening and design And pharmacological and toxicological evaluation, providing theoretical and application basis for the development of new interventions and treatments for human diseases.

The overall research direction of the laboratory includes research on structural biology of drug target proteins, computational chemistry and computer-aided drug design research, research on organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry of functional drug molecules, and pharmacology and pharmaceutical research on functional drug molecules.

The director of the laboratory is Professor Zhu Bao-Ting, Associate Dean (Postgraduate Affairs) of School of MEDICINE, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. The 13 backbone members of the team all have PhD degrees and rich overseas research experience. Team members have received support from many domestic projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shenzhen Peacock Team, Shenzhen Key and General Projects.
