2025 MED Research Day
The MED Research Day is a forum for young scientists – postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduates who participate in lab research – to share their research data and exchange ideas. Since 2021, MED Research Day has been an annual event held in Autumn and supported by the Ganghong Young Scholar Development Fund.

The 2025 MED Research Day will be held on Saturday, 1st November, 2025 in SIN Wai Kin International Conference Centre (W201), and will feature the following:
Time: November 1, 2025, Saturday, 9:00-17:45
Location: SIN Wai Kin International Conference Centre (W201), Administration Building, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen
- Keynote speech by Prof. John Yoo from Western University, to join the Research Day this year and share his insight on “AI, Surgery, and the Paradox of Progress”;
- Keynote speech by Prof. Michael Coleman from University of Cambridge, to join the Research Day this year and share his insight on “Programmed axon death and human disease”;
- 13 oral presentations and 54 posters;
- 6 oral presentations will be selected for awards (1*1st, 2*2nd and 3*3rd), 12 poster awards(2*1st, 4*2nd and 6*3rd);
- Refreshments will be provided in the morning and afternoon;
- At the end of the activity, Ganghong Foundation representatives will present the AY2024-25 Best TA Awards (1st, 2nd and 3rd), Annual Research Awards for PhD students (1st, 2nd and 3rd), and a Ganghong PhD Graduate Award.
