Ban Chi-Ho Tsui Wins the 2025 Dalhousie Medical Alumni Association (DMAA) Exceptional Service Award
Recently, Prof. Ban Chi-Ho Tsui, Associate Dean of School of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, has been awarded the 2025 Exceptional Service Award by the Dalhousie Medical Alumni Association (DMAA).

Since its inception in 1958, the Dalhousie Medical Alumni Association’s Exceptional Service Award has recognized senior alumni whose careers exemplify excellence in medicine and extraordinary contributions to their field.

Prof. Ban Tsui (BSc’84, BScPh’87, MSc’91, MD’95) has had a remarkable career defined by innovation, education, and a dedicated commitment to advancing patient care worldwide. Prof. Tsui is a global leader in regional anesthesia and pain medicine, now serving as Associate Dean of School of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Prof. Tsui’s career has been guided by an unwavering belief that innovation must be paired with education and service. His recent focus on evidence-based medical education highlights this philosophy and cultivates not only skilled physicians but also compassionate, humanistic leaders.
