On October 25, the School of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen Medical Centre hosted the iCUHKSZ– International Conference on Intelligent Medicine Innovation (ICIMI) under the theme “AI Empowers the Future of Health.” The conference convened global leaders from academia, healthcare systems, and industry to explore the frontiers of artificial intelligence in clinical care, biomedical research, and medical education.

Chaired by Dean CHENG and Prof. Trevor YOUNG (Vice President and Provost of the 1 University of Toronto), the conference opened with a ceremony that set a purposeful tone for international collaboration. At the signing ceremony, a tripartite memorandum of agreement was concluded among University Health Network (UHN), the CUHK-Shenzhen School of Medicine, and the CUHK-Shenzhen Medical Centre. This landmark agreement establishes a comprehensive framework for co-education and training pathways. Additionally, the School of Medicine has signed strategic cooperation agreements with two companies: Mindray and KingMed Diagnostics. Together, these agreements expand talent development pathways and deepen industry collaboration.

On October 26, distinguished speakers visited the CUHK-Shenzhen Medical Centre and Mindray headquarters, gaining first-hand exposure to the latest innovations and practices in innovative healthcare. 

By uniting visionary leadership with frontline innovators and cementing new strategic partnerships, iCUHKSZ-ICIMI 2025 reinforced CUHK-Shenzhen’s role as a nexus for intelligent medicine in the Greater Bay Area and beyond.
