MED Professors Selected into The 2024 Highly Cited Chinese Scholars Ranking, Setting A New Record
On March 25th, Elsevier released the 2024 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers Ranking. The School of MEDICINE at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, achieved remarkable results once again, with three distinguished professors—Professor Davy CHENG, Professor Richard YE, and Professor Hsien-Da HUANG—successfully making the list in the fields of Clinical Medicine, Basic Medicine, and Biology respectively. Their selection is a testament to their outstanding academic contributions and extensive influence. This achievement not only affirms their individual academic accomplishments but also serves as strong evidence of the overall research strength of School of MEDICINE, CUHK-Shenzhen.

The Highly Cited Chinese Researchers Ranking is released annually since 2015, in a joint effort by Elsevier and ShanghaiRanking Consultancy. It uses Scopus data and is based on the methodology developed by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy. It includes only researchers affiliated to Institutions based in China (excluding Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao). A total of 6,388 were listed in the 2024 Highly Cited Chinese Scholars Ranking, representing 547 universities, enterprises, and research institutions. The list covers 83 first-level disciplines across 10 major subject fields under the Ministry of Education.

Since its establishment, the School of MEDICINE at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, has been committed to cultivating top medical talents and promoting cutting-edge medical research. The selection of these three professors is a concentrated demonstration of the School's research strength.
